Day 1

Kigali City Tour & Transfer To Akagera National Park

AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival in Kigali, meet your Toturk Safaris driver-guide and begin your Kigali City Tour. Explore some of the city's notable landmarks and cultural attractions, including selected city viewpoints, local markets, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial, depending on your arrival time.

After lunch in Kigali, depart eastward toward Akagera National Park, travelling through Rwanda's scenic countryside. Upon arrival, continue to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, and dinner.

Day 2

Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari In Akagera

Rise early for a morning game drive through Akagera National Park, exploring its beautiful savannah plains, woodland, wetlands, and lakes in search of wildlife. The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, with opportunities to encounter other wildlife along the way.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema. Cruise along the tranquil waters while observing hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, and wildlife gathering along the shoreline. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Akagera National Park To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart Akagera and begin the long but scenic journey south toward Uganda. Cross the Rwanda–Uganda border and continue through the picturesque highlands of southwestern Uganda toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The journey offers beautiful views of rolling hills, terraced landscapes, rural communities, and the changing scenery of the countryside. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, and relax in preparation for the following day's gorilla trekking experience.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi & Afternoon At Leisure

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, proceed to the gorilla trekking briefing point. Following registration and a briefing from the park rangers, embark on an unforgettable Gorilla Trekking experience through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, spend a memorable period observing them in their natural forest habitat before beginning the return trek.

After the trek, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing at the lodge and taking in the peaceful forest surroundings.

Bwindi To Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and travel toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, entering the park through the scenic Ishasha Sector in the south.

Enjoy a game drive through Ishasha as you make your way toward the western side of Queen Elizabeth National Park, keeping watch for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, Uganda kob, and the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha, if conditions and wildlife movements allow.

Continue through the park toward your accommodation, arriving later in the day. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 6

Descent to Budadiri and Transfer to Kampala

After a satisfying breakfast, begin your descent from Mude camp through the Sasa Trail towards Budadiri. Your vehicle will be waiting at Budadiri. Thereafter drive to Mbale town and enjoy a well-deserved lunch before continuing your trip towards Kampala, Uganda's vibrant capital City. Check into the hotel and have diner and enjoy the comfort of your lodgings.

Depending on the time of your flight, you can opt for a Kampala city tour to explore Uganda's bustling capital before heading to the airport for your onward travels. Discover the rich cultural heritage at sites like the Uganda Museum or the Kasubi Tombs, delve into the local markets for crafts and souvenirs, or visit the vibrant streets bustling with life.
