Day 1

Arrival day and transfer to Kampala

ENTEBBE -KAMPALA

Karibu—a very warm welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by a representative of Toturk Safaris and transferred to your accommodations in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. You will have a safari briefing and time for any questions regarding your adventure across Uganda. Catch glimpses of Lake Victoria along the way. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park

KAMPALA-KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

 

After breakfast visit Uganda Museum and learn about the rich Ugandan history, and Gadafi mosque to see the panoramic view of Kampala city. Later on, transfer to Kibale National Park. The 5-to-6-hour journey offers the vibrant presence of the local communities, picturesque beauty of Uganda's tea plantations, and as you approach Kibale National Park, the landscape transitions into dense forests, hinting at the rich biodiversity awaiting within the park's boundaries. Kibale National Park is home to 13 species of primates. Lunch on the way, Dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Have an early breakfast and head to the information center where you will receive a briefing on the do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. Experience the thrill of trekking habituated chimpanzees in Kibale forest. Led by knowledgeable guides, trek through the lush forest in search of these captivating primates. Listen to the sounds of the jungle and keep your eyes open for other primates like the red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys among others and take amazing photographs.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi and Have the Batwa cultural Experience

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Bwindi is a habitat to about 11 primate species including the endagered Mountain Gorilla and the rare L’hoest monkey. It takes about 6-8hrs, as you traverse the winding roads, you will Pass through charming villages and witness the daily life of the local communities. En route, make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife sightings along the way like the elephants, Kobs and scenic overland views of the kazinga channel. In the afternoon, visit with the local Batwa tribe, Uganda’s ancient hunter-gatherer tribe. Later, relax at the Lodge or take a sunset stroll through the area. Lunch on the way, Dinner at the lodge.

Gorilla Trekking

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast go to the trekking point, and start the trek in search of the exquisite mountain gorillas of Uganda. Bwindi houses over 50% of the worlds Mountain gorilla populations. Trekking can last between 3-8 hours in total, but once you discover the gorillas, you will be able to spend one unforgettable hour with them. Gorilla trekking begins where the gorillas were last seen the previous day. Look out for other primate species like the Black and white colobus, spectacled galago, red and blue monkeys, pottos and the rare L’hoest' monkeys, baboons and some chimpanzees during the trek and take amazing photos

Day 6

Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK- MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer to Mgahinga National Park. It will take between 4 to 5hrs to reach Mgahinga National Park from Bwindi National Park. Have a lunch at the lodge and rest for the next day’s activities. Enjoy the serene environment.

Day 7

Golden Monkey Trekking.

MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE BUNYONYI

After an early breakfast, go to the park for a short brief on Golden Monkey Trekking and after start the guided trek through the lush forests and look out for the playful and endangered golden monkeys in their natural habitat. Enjoy observing their vibrant fur and energetic behavior while learning about their conservation. Following the trek, have lunch and then set off to Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon. Enjoy a scenic drive to this beautiful destination.

Day 8

Nature walk and Canoeing.

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK – MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK

At Lake Bunyonyi, start your day with a tranquil birdwatching canoe trip on the serene waters, where you can spot a variety of bird species such as the African harrier hawk and the crowned crane amidst the lush landscape. After enjoying the avian beauty from your canoe, head back to shore for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a guided nature walk around the lake's terraced hills and verdant surroundings, immersing yourself in the rich flora and fauna while taking in panoramic views of the lake and its picturesque islands.

Day 9

Departure

LAKE BUNYONYI - KAMPALA/ENTEBBE

After an early breakfast and check-out from your lakeside accommodation at Lake Bunyonyi, embark on a scenic drive to Entebbe, which takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda and stop for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Entebbe, either head to the airport for your departure flight or check into a hotel if you have an overnight stay planned, reflecting on the memorable experiences from your journey through Uganda.
