Day 1

Arrival day

ENTEBBE - KAMPALA

​

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Toturk safaris driver guide will transfer you to your lodge in Kampala for an overnight stay after a short brief about your safari adventure.  Have enough rest and prepare for your memorable adventure for the next 6days.

​

Day 2

Transfer to Kasese

KAMPALA - KASESE

 

After breakfast, visit the Gaddafi Mosque to enjoy a panoramic view of Kampala city. Later, transfer to Kasese, with a stopover at the equator for the equator experiment. Soak in the scenic beauty of the western Ugandan countryside and have lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Kasese, check in to your accommodation for a comfortable night's rest.

Day 3

Trasfer to Nyakalengija and then to Nyabitaba Hut

Rise early and make your way to Nyakalengija (1,615 meters) to Nyabitaba Hut (2,652 meters), the starting point of your trek. Traverse through verdant forests and rugged terrain, immersing yourself in the breathtaking vistas of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way. Upon reaching Nyabitaba Hut, settle in and unwind amidst nature's embrace.

Day 4

Nyabitaba Hut to Lake Mahoma and Back

Today, embark on a captivating hike to Lake Mahoma, a shimmering gem nestled amidst the Rwenzori wilderness. Delight in the tranquility of the surroundings as you explore the shores of this pristine alpine lake. Look out for monkeys, the rwenzori turaco and other birds. After reveling in the beauty of Lake Mahoma (3,515 meters), return to Nyabitaba Hut for a peaceful evening under the starlit sky.

Day 5

Nyabitaba Hut to Guy Yeoman Hut

The trek from Nyabitaba Hut (2,652 meters) to Guy Yeoman Hut (3,505 meters) in the Rwenzori Mountains features a diverse landscape. Starting with the challenging Kamato Bog, hikers navigate dense, marshy terrain. Cross the sturdy Mubuku Kichuchu Bridge over the rushing Mubuku River at 3,200 meters for scenic views. You will also enjoy the majestic Kabamba Waterfall at 3,300 meters and the stunning views of Mount Baker from afar as you ascend the  beautiful Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 6

Guy Yeoman Hut to Nyakalengija, Rwenzori Base Camp, Hotel in Kasese

Descend from Guy Yeoman Hut to Nyakalengija, where you'll bid adieu to the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. Transfer to Rwenzori Base Camp, where you can explore the surrounding area and savor the final moments of your mountain adventure. Later, return to Kasese and check into a hotel for a comfortable night's rest.

Departure
