Day 1

Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National  Park

ENTEBBE/KAMPALA - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Begin your journey with an early morning pickup from Entebbe or Kampala, driving through Uganda’s scenic countryside. Enjoy a lunch stop in Mbarara and take memorable photos at the Equator line before continuing toward Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Arrive in the afternoon and, after settling in, head out for an evening game drive to explore the park and spot wildlife as the animals become more active toward sunset. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Start the day with a sunrise game drive, where lions, elephants, buffalo, and kobs roam freely across the savannah. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular and diverse savannah park, located in the western part of the country. Return to the lodge some relaxation time before enjoying lunch.

 

In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel is famous for its large concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography from the water.

Day 3

Ishasha Sector & Transfer to Bwindi

QUEEN ELIZABETH N.P - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart for the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, known for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive in this remote and less crowded area of the park. Later, proceed through the rolling hills of Kigezi to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in to your lodge and relax in the cool mountain air. Dinner and overnight stay in Bwindi.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK - LAKE BUNYONYI

Have an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by UWA rangers. After hike through the thick forest in search of a mountain gorilla family, a trek that may last several hours depending on their location. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. 

 

After trekking, drive to Lake bunyonyi for relaxation.

Highlight

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. These gentle giants share about 98.3% of their DNA with humans, making them our closest living relatives after chimpanzees.

Day 5

Boat Cruise and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

LAKE BUNYONYI AND LAKE MBURO

After breakfast, depart for the tranquil shores of Lake Bunyonyi, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with scenic islands. Embark on a boat ride to explore some of the lake’s iconic islands, including Punishment Island, while enjoying excellent birdwatching opportunities. Return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, continue to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park, yet rich in wildlife. Upon arrival, explore the park’s scenic landscapes and look out for zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, and other wildlife before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Waking safari and Return to Kampala/Entebbe.

DEPARTURE


Start the morning with a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, one of the few places in Uganda where visitors can explore the savannah on foot with an experienced ranger. This unique experience offers a closer connection with nature and opportunities to encounter wildlife such as zebras, impalas, and antelopes. After the walk, start your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe with a lunch enroute.
